Chris, Faith, and Janel are all at went to the International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago. It’s a massive convention and expo that draws all the biggest brands and manufacturers of goods for house, home, and kitchen. It’s the major exposition of the year for things like pots and pans, mixers, tableware, small appliances, cleaning supplies, and vacuums – plus lots, lots more.

The Kitchn went to take a look at what’s new and upcoming in some of our favorite brands like All-Clad, Breville, KitchenAid, and Cuisinart. We’ve seen small companies, big companies, and lots of terrific new products. We’ve already watched Alton Brown, Paula Deen, and Curtis Stone demo products live (watch for video later today). We’re especially on the lookout for good small-space solutions, well-made kitchen tools, and products that are made and function in an environmentally friendly way.

Most of the people here at the show were buyers for retail outlets or exhibitors, but we had press passes and photography badges so we’re going to be showing you video, photos, and interviews over the next several days. We’ll keep this post updated with links to all our Home and Housewares Show 2008 coverage.
