Instant Pot’s New Air Fryer Is on Sale — But Not for Much Longer

The Instant Pot has changed the way people cook at home. The multi-functional appliance opened a whole new world for amateur home cooks and busy families hoping to get dinner on the table a little bit faster. Now it’s time for Instant Pot’s second act:  The Instant Vortex Plus 7-in-1 Air Fryer Oven, and of course the internet is already obsessed. If you’re still on the fence about whether or not to invest in this trendy new appliance, here’s some motivation: Walmart slashed the price to just $99 — down from $120. 

Air-frying is gaining popularity because the cooking technique creates deliciously crispy food without using tons of unhealthy oil (here are some of our favorite tricks, btw), so we predict that this air fryer version of the Instant Pot will be just as popular as its previous iterations.

You might be wondering how much fried food you’re really going to eat, but just like the pressure cooker Instant Pot, the air fryer has multiple functions that you’ll likely find practical: It can also roast, broil, bake, reheat, dehydrate food, and even has a “rotate” setting for rotisserie chicken. It basically functions like a compact oven. And you might even find it more functional than a traditional oven: According to the product description it has a faster preheat time, which is supposed to cut down cooking time by 20 percent.

The Walmart sale on the air fryer ends tomorrow (!!), so don’t waste any time grabbing one of your own (or maybe as an early Christmas present for that family member moving into a new apartment or the friend whose schedule always seems to be packed).
