There is no shortage of food-themed Christmas ornaments. (Anthropologie alone has at least a dozen options!) You can find avocado ornaments, doughnut ornaments, and even retro toaster ornaments. But go looking for a mini Instant Pot to hang on your tree and you will, surprisingly, come up empty.
We did, however, find one option that should satisfy Instant Pot obsessives (read: all of us).
Buy: Instant Pot Christmas Tree Ornament, $18 at CanadianStitchery
Mary Cowan, owner of the Etsy shop CanadianStitchery, made a prototype of the cross-stitch ornament you see above when she was trying to decorate an Instant Pot that she was gifting to her husband. "I went looking online for accessories and didn't find much available — only decals," she says. "That's why I created my own."
She posted a picture of it on social media and started getting messages from people asking her to make extras for them. She did and then she started selling them in her shop. She now ships them to people all over the world. "It's proven to be one of the most popular items in my shop," she says.
The ornament comes with a four-inch stainless steel ball chain. and the frame is made of laser-cut birch wood that can be finished in gold, silver, or red. The cross stitch is hand-done by Mary herself. Oh, and if you want twine or ribbon instead of that chain, you can message Mary and request something different.
Beyond the Christmas tree, Mary points out that the ornaments can be used as zipper pulls on backpacks or even as a decoration for your Instant Pot (they hang nicely from the handle, we're told). This way, you can enjoy it the other 11 months out of the year.
Although what we really want is a mini glass replica of the Instant Pot, this is a pretty cute alternative.
