Instacart Is Rolling Out a Lunar New Year Shopping Hub to Make Prepping for the Celebration a Little Easier
Lunar New Year kicks off February 1, followed by a 15-day-long celebration complete with plenty of food. Celebratory dinners will include food and dishes said to bring luck and prosperity in the new year including whole fish, chicken, and loads of dumplings, rice cakes, and noodles.
Over the past two years, Instacart has made it possible for millions of customers to shop from the safety and comfort of their own homes. And this year, they’ve made it even easier for customers to go all out on festive Lunar New Year meals. If you still have to pick up any last minute staples for the celebration, Instacart is the place to go. They’ve created a Lunar New Year special occasion “hub” on their app (much like their new, ultra-convenient ready-meal hub), in which customers can shop from dozens of Asian retailers all across the country all in one place. Shop for dumplings, short ribs, rice cakes, and pantry staples at HMart as well as offerings like black sesame rice balls at T&T.
So instead of spending hours running around for groceries, be sure to head to Instacart to do most of the hard work for you, and leave more time for eating and celebrating with loved ones (but don’t forget to tip the Instacart shoppers making it possible for you to do so!). And while you’re at it, don’t forget to check out these ideas for store-bought desserts you can bring to a new year celebration.
