Ina Garten Just Shared Her Thanksgiving Menu and It Sounds Amazing
Thanksgiving is just one week away (I know, I know), so if you’re following Kitchn’s 10-day guide for the big day, then you’ve probably already planned your menu and are looking forward to your first shopping trip. So, what are you making this year? Are you going the more traditional route, or are you trying out some things you’ve seen floating around in magazines or something that looked good on the internet?
Well, if you’re still on the fence about a couple recipes on your menu, then I have good news for you. Ina Garten just released her very own personal menu for Thanskgiving this year and it’s pretty inspiring. While you won’t find Thanksgiving Jello shots on her list, her menu isn’t totally traditional. There’s no mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, or green bean casserole in sight.
Ina Garten sent out an email today that highlighted her Thanksgiving menu and some inspiration on decorating your table this year. “It’s never too early to plan your Thanksgiving table! It doesn’t have to be fancy, but at this time of year I like a little color and one pretty plate to give the setting some style,” she says.
Ina Garten’s Thanksgiving Menu
Below are links to the recipes that Ina Garten plans on making for Thanksgiving. You’ll see that she’s going with a make-ahead roast turkey, a celery root purée instead of mashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts instead of a green bean casserole. Her dessert choices are also super fascinating! She’s making a pumpkin roulade instead of a pie and apple pie bars. Bars!
