It’s the height of summer and, as record-breaking temps hit most of the country, turning on the stove or oven to make a meal is probably the last thing you want to do right now. Luckily, and as usual, Ina Garten has our backs. Taking to Instagram to announce that “IT’S TOO HOT TO COOK WEEK,” the Food Network’s Barefoot Contessa host is coming in hot with a favorite no-cook recipe every day this week.

Up first is a sneak peek from Ina’s forthcoming book, Go-To Dinners (available in October 2022): the pomegranate spritzer. A refreshing drink to enjoy alongside any of her other meals, the spritzer is made sans alcohol. (Although Ina writes that, in her opinion, “a little vodka makes them better,” so add a splash or two if you’re so inclined.)

While we don’t have a forecast for what dishes she’ll choose for the rest of the week, this isn’t the first time that Ina has saved us from the heat with her dishes. Over the years she has given us plenty of no-cook dishes, including pasta sauces and hors d’oeuvres, to help save us from summer scorchers in the kitchen.

We can’t wait to see what else she shares with us this week! And we’ll be letting you know which ideas we like enough to try out — starting with that pomegranate spritzer. I have a pretty good feeling about that one.

If you need more reinforcements to beat the heat while waiting for more of Ina’s posts, make an entire pitcher of this St. Germain spritzer
