Can Ina do any wrong? Being a top chef and a bestselling author, not really, no. And here’s yet another amazing accomplishment to add to the list: she’ll be putting together a memoir within the next couple of years. Celadon Books has confirmed that Ina will be releasing her memoir in 2023 — the name TBD, but we can always start brainstorming our predictions while we wait.

As you probably know, Ina is no stranger to writing! She has already written bestselling cookbooks like Barefoot Contessa Parties! and Barefoot in Paris. Her first cookbook, The Barefoot Contessa, came out a while ago back in 1999. As for the name and her life story, Ina had started her career as a budget analyst for the federal government, but she then left to purchase a specialty food store, which was named The Barefoot Contessa — and that name is what inspired her book’s title and shaped her cooking career and “essence” that we’ve all come to love and learn from.

As for her cookbooks, Clarkson Potter has published them all, and there are two new cookbooks coming out in 2020 and 2023, as well. So, we can look forward to reading those and trying out whatever amazing, beautiful recipes and tips she has in store for us.

And while we must wait for more details regarding her memoir for 2023, we can at least read her other cookbooks in the meantime, past and upcoming ones, and we can get to work in the kitchen, whipping up some of her tasty everyday and holiday-themed dishes at home. And of course, we’ve got to patiently count down the days until 2023 when we can get our hands on a copy. (Which is a whole lot of days, so don’t lay awake in bed at night thinking about it.)
