Ina Garten Just Shared Her Favorite Pizza on Instagram
If you stop and think about the best pizza you’ve ever had in your life, what comes to mind? I lived in Chicago for many years, so the competition for best pie is pretty steep. Is the pizza just topped with cheese? Is it topped with farm-raised meats? Is it deep-dish, thin-crust, or wood-fired? Is a pizza even a pizza if it doesn’t have tomato sauce? The options are almost endless. Ina Garten’s favorite pizza on the planet sounds pretty unique, but we’re sure it’s delicious.
If you follow Ina on Instagram, you might have already seen her gushing over this unusual-looking pizza. She recently ate at Martina Pizzeria in the East Village in New York City, where she had a Brussels sprout cacio e pepe pizza. Just let those words sink in a minute.
Ina shouted its praises from her social media platform and said that it may be her “favorite pizza ever.” Many of the comments on the post of Ina’s potentially controversial pizza choice are positive. “Looks like this could be my new favorite pizza,” exclaimed maryrose1950.
According to Martina Pizza’s website, the pie features Brussels sprouts, pecorino, and black pepper. It’s a 10-inch pie and it only costs $9.50 — which is pretty cheap when you consider Ina’s preference for “good butter” and a $5,000 Lacanche oven.
