Few things look as good in a kitchen as IKEA cabinets. The accent wall in this Portland, Oregon, space happens to be one of them. Of course, all the cabinets — and the wall oven — are from IKEA, but can you guess where that cool accent wall came from?
Upstairs! The imperfect wooden slats actually used to be the fir flooring on the home's second floor, which homeowners Shelby and Joe tore out during a massive remodel. Metal bracket shelves, also from IKEA, add a modern industrial to touch to a wall that, otherwise, would look fairly rustic.
The rest of the kitchen is white and plain (which lets the accent wall shine even more), but we're also dying over the concrete counters and cork floors.
