Frozen foods have always had their ways of coming in handy. Perfect for meal prepping during the week or whipping up a quick dinner, there are plenty of frozen foods that not only taste amazing, but also save you valuable space in the refrigerator for other fresh food and produce.

There is one pesky downfall, though, with a lot of frozen food options: a lack of resealable bags. How many times have you rolled a bag of fries shut and put away in the freezer, only to discover later that the bag has unraveled overnight? I know I’ve had the distinct issue of using a small portion of what’s in the bag and, as a result, I don’t have enough free space in the bag to roll it tightly enough to stay closed. Thankfully, there is an easy solution — and we found it by way of TikTok creator @jonez_333. And trust me — this eye-opening hack for tying up bags of frozen food with absolute ease is one that you’ll probably be using for many years to come.

The trick? Take your already opened bag of frozen food and cut a u-shape out of the opened end of the bag. Throw out the piece of bag that was cut off, and voilà! You’re ready to tie up the ends like you would a garbage bag. An easy and effective solution to a not-so-serious problem that we’ve all encountered.

Now you might be thinking that the simple solution would be to transfer the food into smaller, separate containers, or use a big clip like you might use to close up a bag of chips, but sometimes, those items just aren’t available in the moment. Not to mention, a creative solution always wins in my book — even if it’s not completely necessary.
