Q: I received a set of four handled French onion soup crocks as a wedding gift. Any advice on other uses for these crocks besides French onion soup?

Editor: What a fun gift! With fall and winter on the way, certainly be sure to make use of those bowls with some homemade French onion soup. But really, there are also so many other ways to use them. These crocks are great for making individual servings of things like pot pie, mac and cheese, shepherd’s pie, or any kind of casserole. Don’t forget they’re bowls, after all, so go ahead and use them for anything you might put in a bowl, like cereal or ice cream.
