Q: The burner coils on my electric range won't stay level, which makes frying or sautéing anything a hassle (gravity pulls the oil to one side). They stick up a half-an-inch or more even when I try to shimmy them into place, and they absolutely refuse to stick in the tiny notch on the drip pans. Am I missing something obvious here, or is this how rental stovetops work?
