Q: I buy those packaged salad bags from Trader Joe's, and I can never manage to finish an entire bag before it goes bad a few days later.
What can I do to preserve their freshness after buying so I don't have to run to the grocery store every few days?

Editor: Author Dorie Greenspan says that if you blow a puff of air into the bag and reseal it, it will provide enough carbon dioxide to keep the greens fresh. We've never tried it, but give it a shot!
Readers, what tips do you have to keep the salad fresh longer?
