We love a good mashup between food and art, especially when there are mashed potatoes involved!
Artist Hannah Rothstein has composed a series of photos imagining what it would look like if famous artists assembled a Thanksgiving meal in their artistic style.
Rothstein covers many of the major artistic movements — Impressionism, Cubism, Pointillism, and Dadaism (ceci n'est pas un repas). We're especially partial to the simplicity of the Rothko plating, but it's lacking a few crucial courses, namely the turkey.
Rothstein is selling prints of the Thanksgiving meals on her site, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the SF-Marin Food Bank. We're just thankful that no one told her not to play with her food.
