‘Hot Ones’ Is Releasing a New Kid-Friendly Green Sauce and an At-Home Challenge Kit to Heat Up the Season
If you consider yourself to be a fan of all things food, then you’re probably no stranger to the popular website First We Feast. And as a result, you also know about its super successful interview series Hot Ones. If your answer was yes to both of those statements, then the news of the show expanding its line of products with the kid-friendly Hot Ones Jr. “The Green” hot sauce will be music to your ears.
Hot Ones is famous for turning up the heat on its guests with a fiery lineup of questions, and wings used as a vehicle for progressively spicier sauces, but “The Green” will be its mildest one yet. The sauce is manufactured by Heatonist and is a mix of bright green apple and warm jalapeño, perfect for dipping and drizzling on anything. “The Green” contains no added sugar, and the ingredients list includes wholesome fruits and vegetables such as sweet onion, banana, and baby spinach.
“The show with hot questions and even hotter wings” is in its 17th season and has amassed over 80 million views on YouTube with a list of celebrities, including Gordon Ramsey and Tom Colicchio.
The brand also announced that they would be launching their Hot Ones Boneless Chicken Bites just in time for the Super Bowl. The chicken bite kits will come with three varying heat sauces — Classic, Los Calientes, and Last Dab™ Apollo — as well as 50 breaded and seasoned white meat boneless chicken bites. Each 41-ounce bag of the bites will retail for $12.38 and will be available in Walmart stores across the nation beginning this month.
Hot Ones Jr.’s “The Green” hot sauce is available now in a 6-ounce bottle for $10 at heatonist.com. Though made to be kid-friendly, don’t let the cutesy label and easy to squeeze bottle discourage you from grabbing one for yourself. It’s definitely worth the shake on your meal. For those that happen to be more spice-averse, however, you can try any of these hot sauces that are kinder on those who can’t handle the heat and pair it with these extra crispy wings.
