Trust me when I say that honey butter is always a good idea. It’s a simple way to add a hint of sweetness to any number of foods, and its smooth and creamy texture means it spreads like an absolute dream. Like most things, it tastes best when you make it yourself — so here’s how to do it in a matter of minutes.

How Do You Make Honey Butter from Scratch?

It couldn’t be easier to make honey butter from scratch. Grab some butter from the fridge and let it soften at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Using either a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the butter until it’s completely smooth. Pour in honey, cinnamon, and vanilla extract and mix until it’s fully combined. Voila!

Does Honey Butter Need to Be Refrigerated?

Yes! Keep your honey butter refrigerated in airtight container for up to two weeks.

What Is Honey Butter Good On?

A better question might be: What isn’t honey butter good on? I enjoy it on toast, cornbread, muffins, pancakes, and waffles, just to name a few. The possibilities are endless when it comes to honey butter.
