As peak hosting season is starting to heat up — quite literally — it’s time to curate the best tablescapes, outdoor decor, and serveware for a summer full of sunshine and spending time with your loved ones, both indoors and outdoors. As you prepare your favorite summer beverages, are you thinking about the glassware you’ll be serving them in? If you’re in the market for some stunning new high-quality glassware, we just spotted an ingenious hack for scoring trendy glasses for less.

Naturally, we have TikTok to thank for this money-saving tip. It’s quite simple, really — it’s all about where you shop and what you’re looking out for when you do. Essentially, different stores will receive the same (or very similar) items from distributors and charge vastly different prices for them. In a now-viral video, home decor influencer Carissa Nicole shared a very savvy discovery from a recent shopping trip.

Don’t walk, run! If you’re near a HomeGoods — the discount home decor store with everything from makeup to bedding to bakeware — the odds are good that they have the same *exact* glassware as some other pricier retailers. (True story: One of Kitchn’s editors actually bought a similar colored glass flute set at another popular store for more than double the ones shown here at HomeGoods. Oops!) While the glasses that Carissa spotted aren’t available online, we spotted those gorgeous amber colored Fortessa Bubble Texture Glassware Set of 6 sitting on the shelf online for $29 and we’re already planning room for them in our cabinets.

One thing to consider before you run out of the door: If you’re a frequent HomeGoods shopper, you probably already know that each HomeGoods location is slightly different, so you’ll have to check your local store to see what the selection is, but if TikTok is right, you might just be able to find some hidden gems, like a dupe of the glassware set you’ve been eyeing for months for less. In the comments, other users chimed in that they’ve also found similar success at HomeGoods on everything from candles to decor. So have your Pinterest boards handy and get on over there, people!

FYI: The company that owns HomeGoods also owns T.J.Maxx, Sierra Trading Post, Marshalls, and HomeSense, which all sell discounted goods that you can find for more at other stores. So if you’re looking to be the host with the most — or at least looking to save some money on cute kitchen items — you know where to shop. It might just be the cherry on top of a perfect weekend afternoon. After all, why would you pay more for the same thing?
