When it comes to food and consumer goods, safety is the priority. With recent recalls of frozen strawberries, wild harvest oysters, Starbucks products and more, it’s important to stay in the know and avoid keeping any products in our homes that could potentially cause us harm. And while usually those risks fall within the categories of the foods we eat, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall for six common home goods sold at top stores like HomeGoods, T.J. Maxx, and Amazon. The products, which include children’s plates, heated blankets, candles, and office chairs have been recalled for different reasons with the recall issue dates ranging throughout the month of March.

First up, Primark’s bamboo children’s plates have been recalled due to them containing dangerous levels of the harmful substances lead and formaldehyde. If you purchased the bear, the bunny, the rainbow, or the Winnie The Pooh plate from a Primark store in Chicago, Florida, or in the Northeast, you’re encouraged to stop using it and return it to the Primark store for a refund.

TJX’s office chairs were also on the recall list of home products as they were deemed faulty due to the possibility of the back of the chair malfunctioning while in use, increasing the risk of falling out of the chair. Chairs included on the list have GT646, GT646A, GT646AB, and GT646AABO as their item numbers and were sold at Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods, and Homesense.

For those who have recently purchased electric blankets to combat the ongoing chilly weather, the CPSC also announced that heated blankets by Beadshe and Sunbeam as well as heating pads by Bedshe are all being recalled due to a faulty controller malfunction. As a result, Bedsure Electric Heating Blankets (Model# BS-HB5060, BS-HB6284, BS-HB7284, BS-LV0A), Bedsure Electric Heating Pads (Model# BS-HP2422, BS-HP1224, BS-HP2433) and the Sunbeam Queen Size Heated Blanket (Model# 32810027) are causing burns and fires for those who have them in their possession. If you happen to have any of the items at home, contact Bedshe and Star Elite for a full refund.

And lastly, for fans of Fredericksburg Farms scented candles found at Buc-ee’s, multiple scents are recalled due to ill-fitted glass lids on the 10-ounce candles that cause the jar to shatter when the top is removed. Full refunds will be issued to customers that contact Fredericksburg Farms at 888-359-2993 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, by email at Recall@ffarms.com or online at https://www.fbgfarms.com/pages/recall.
