Welcome to Kitchn’s Holiday Breakfast Casserole Challenge, where we asked five of our favorite food folks to create the ultimate one-pan breakfast that’s perfect for the holidays. We expected some great ideas, but these recipes blew us away. There’s a merguez sausage and mushroom combo, an egg bake inspired by diner breakfasts, a riff on shakshuka with feta drop biscuits (!), a double chocolate croissant number that’s perfect for folks who like their breakfast sweet, and a cheesy, creamy hotdish topped with a maze of crispy tater tots. With a lineup like that, your challenge will be choosing which one to make first!
