You Can Now Buy a Harry Potter Wand Made of Chocolate
This holiday season, we still haven’t found a place to buy chocolate frogs or chocoballs, but Williams Sonoma has indulged all of our muggle dreams and started selling Harry Potter chocolate wands.
They could be the perfect after-dinner treat following a Harry Potter-themed Halloween feast, or perhaps just the thing to nibble on as you sip some
butterbeer
The culinary retailer is offering three different versions, each of which is 2.5 ounces of solid milk and semi-sweet chocolate, and retails for $32.95. The Hermione version doesn’t have a dragon heartstring core (we think?) but we’re confident Ollivander himself made it, and the shape looks just like the versions used in the movie, with a strand twisting around the length of the wand. Harry’s wand looks almost real enough to cast a spell, if it wasn’t actually just going to get eaten right away. It’s 11 inches long and made of holly — or at least holly-like chocolate. And finally, there’s the knobby elder wood wand of Dumbledore.
While there are plenty of other Harry Potter chocolates and candies on the market, these take on a more elegant feel — they’re gift-level, something that a true fan would be delighted to find in their stocking, whether they’re Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. Each wand comes packaged in a fancy gold box and affixed with a blue and gold label.
But how can you choose just one? After all, if we know anything about wands, it’s that the wand chooses the wizard! The real question is, can you use this wand to magically make even more chocolate wands appear? You’ll have to test your wizarding skills and find out.
