You might have had Hardee’s famous Made from Scratch Biscuits, but I guarantee you’ve never had them like this. If you enjoy their hot and flaky biscuits with a Hardee’s meal, you’ll now be able to drink them, too. But trust me, it’s a lot better than it sounds.

To celebrate both National Biscuit Month and National Beer Lovers Day (September 7), Hardee’s has partnered with Nashville’s Southern Grist Brewing Co. on a Strawberry Biscuit Ale inspired by the chain’s signature biscuits. The American fast-food restaurant chain can be found primarily in the South and Midwest, so it makes sense that they partnered with the Nashville-based brewery.

Southern Grist has been around since 2016 and is known for its “small-batch and experimental” sips that push the boundaries of craft beer. And as one can imagine, the Strawberry Biscuit Ale is no different. The full-bodied cream ale incorporates delicious hints of strawberry jam and buttermilk cream and has a 5.2 percent ABV.

If you’re in or around Nashville, you can pick up a can at one of their taprooms beginning September 1. For those not in the area, however, nationwide shipping will also be available to select markets. You can visit their site for more information on availability.

We’ve seen some wacky beer collaborations, such as this Miller Lite’s beer-infused charcoal and Miller’s ice cream bars that taste like a dive bar, but this one takes the cake — or better yet, biscuit. If beverage and biscuit combos are your thing, check out Grandbaby Cakes’ 7 Up Biscuits.
