Our latest kitchen decor obsession is swinging from the rafters — literally! Not only are hanging fruit baskets pretty to look at, but they’re also a super-practical use of vertical space, freeing up room on your island or countertop. There’s also something romantic about reaching up in the air and pulling out some fresh produce, almost as if you went and picked it yourself!

We’re seeing more and more of these bohemian babies in House Tours on our sister website, Apartment Therapy, and have even scouted them out on some of our favorite online retailers too.

Here are the ones we’re shopping for.

This sturdy setup is made white porcelain, which is hand-worked into a geometric texture and suspended by strong leather cords — so you don’t have to worry about the baskets falling when you fill them with your produce haul.

2. Wire Sphere Basket, $60 at Etsy

You’ll definitely want to eat more fruit if you get to fish it out of this super-fun orb every time a craving strikes. This one comes with an S hook and a jute swivel for hanging purposes too. And it’s from our favorite Etsy shop in all of Connecticut.

3. Macrame Hanging Bowl, $98 at Etsy

How dreamy is this hand-braided macrame and cypress wood hanger? If you don’t want to put fruit in it, you can use it as a catch-all for mail, keys, or other landing strip-esque items.

4. Three Tier Hanging Basket, $39 at Urban Outfitters

This hanging fruit basket couldn’t be more on trend if it tried!

5. Copper Hanging Wire Fruit Basket, $70 at Williams Sonoma

If you would like to tempt fate and stow away full-sized melons in a hanging fruit basket, this Williams Sonoma version — made of sturdy iron — is probably your best bet.

6. Tiered Hanging Basket, $68 at Anthropologie

For daintier fruits, try this cylindrical version from Anthropologie. Clearly the copper trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
