Our Friends at Great Jones Just Launched a Sheet Pan and It’s SO Dreamy
Today, on November 19, 2019, our friends at Great Jones officially brought their first sheet pan into the world, so naturally, we decided to write up a birth announcement for it.

Co-founders’ statement: “We originally conceived Holy Sheet as part of our Family Style Collection but it’s taken a year to perfect the quality.” — Sierra Tishgart and Maddy Moelis
Did we make that weird? So sorry. Let’s talk about this new baby (with the world’s most perfect name) a little more though, shall we?
When Great Jones’ co-founder Sierra Tishgart reached out to us to talk about the process of designing a better sheet pan, we were all ears. This long-awaited sheet pan was originally supposed to be a part of the original suite of Great Jones cookware (which includes a now-famous Dutch oven, an 8-quart stockpot, a gorgeous saucepan, and a few other pieces), but took a year longer to come to fruition — for lots of reasons.

“No one really likes their sheet pan. You shove them into the oven, they warp very easily, and you feel like you have to replace them over and over again. We also wanted to solve for aesthetics. Most sheet pans on the market get scraped up and they’re not appealing or beautiful,” Tishgart told us. “We didn’t blow up the shape, but we actually improved upon a lot of those pain points — and that took months and months of work.”

In that time, Great Jones conceptualized and created Holy Sheet, a PFOA-free, PTFE-free, ceramic-coated, BLUE half sheet pan. It’s made of aluminized steel, has rolled edges, and is reinforced with steel rods so it won’t warp or make those alarming pop sounds in a heated oven like some flimsier pans do. It’s also gone through extensive rounds of abrasion testing, is dishwasher-safe, AND is really, really pretty.
“We knew from the start we wanted Holy Sheet to be in a color. Color is such a core part of our brand. We just had to find the right partners that we felt comfortable with. We landed on a manufacturer in Pennsylvania, and sourced our ceramic nonstick coating from Switzerland,” says Tishgart.

If you want one of these pans ASAP, you can purchase this pan as a one-off for $25 on the Great Jones website. The company is also debuting a new bundle called Easy Bake (which includes Holy Sheet, a ceramic nonstick skillet, and a saucepan). It’s the perfect set for anyone who is looking to build a versatile bakeware and cookware collection but is starting from scratch.
