Gather your soggy bottoms on the couch, kids, because it’s time: the trailer for the new season of The Great British Bake Off is up and ready for us to read far too much into as we try to guess what we’re in for this season.

The show, which runs on Netflix under the name The Great British Baking Show has made us devotees of the oddly calming, low-key baking competition. The trailer doesn’t give much away for what will actually happen on the show, but it does do a lot to get us all hyped to watch the upcoming season with some wild baking imagery. It opens to the scenes of chaos of “baking fever,” including kneeling in prayer in front of a painting of Paul Hollywood, people scrambling for the last eggs and butter on a store shelf, and fencing with baguettes.

In the more whimsical sections, there is a drag queen hanging out in a tiny teacup with doughnuts, a hot air balloon in the shape of a giant cake, and ingredients jumping rope. There are also dogs (they’re very good boys) standing on each other’s back to reach a cake on a counter. There’s diving into a pool of chocolate, sleeping with pastries, and coal miners singing from an oven. There is cake in space, Cookie Monster declaring his love to cookies, and cakes with each of the hosts’ faces singing along.

There isn’t, however, much hint at what might actually happen on the show — other than a few disasters shown briefly at the end before the trailer ends, saying “let the baking season commence.” But when that season commences is still unknown: no premiere date has been announced, though in Britain it is coming soon to Channel Four. In the U.S., we’re at the mercy of Netflix to let us know when we can dive in.
