Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

I’ve always wanted to be the type of person who bakes pies for people. You know the kind: the ones that pop over, usually unannounced, with a cake box in hand ready to brighten up your day simply because they were thinking of you. Not only is a pie one of the most thoughtful gifts, but it also says a lot about the gifter because nothing screams “I have my life together!” more than baking something for someone else on a whim. And that’s the kind of person who I want to be — or at least, appear to be.

Though I don’t foresee myself baking pies at the drop of a dime, thanks to a super-simple pie hack from @grandbabycakes, I can win points with my friends while simultaneously making them jealous of how well I’m doing. And all you’ll need is store-bought cookie dough, a store-bought graham cracker crust, and the toppings of your choice.

First, fill your graham cracker crust with your cookie dough and toss it in the oven until it sets. Once it’s ready, you can decorate your dessert with your toppings. All that’s left after that is to dig in! No wonder she calls it the “EASIEST pie hack eva!”

In the video, Jocelyn uses whipped cream, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, and nuts, but if you really want to impress your guests while still putting in minimal effort, try this two-toned frosting trick with one of these cream cheese or peanut butter frosting recipes instead.

The truth is, I’ll never have my life together (or not as well as I would like anyway), but thanks to this recipe, I can fool my friends into thinking I do while winning major brownie points. And that’s what counts, right?
