I love eating and drinking, and the endless lineup of restaurants and bars is pretty much the only reason I suffer through all the unbearable parts of living in New York, but when it comes to types of food I like, sweets have always been at the very bottom of that list. I know, I know — if I had a dollar for the number of times someone said, “OMG you don’t like ice cream???” you wouldn’t be reading this article, since I’d be enjoying some obscure alpine liqueur in my chalet in the Austrian alps. (One day.) Point is, I’ve always been anti-dessert, except for a few oddly specific things: Concord grape sorbet, an apple galette, a single oatmeal cookie (sans raisins) with a pint of 2% milk — again, I know — but at restaurants, I usually end up just getting an espresso or a whiskey for my final course. (Or, usually, both.)

Recently, though, I found the perfect dessert for myself — and anyone who wants a delicious year-round, anytime treat — in GoodPops. These gluten-free, dairy-free ice pops are easy to store, taste great, aren’t too sugary, and come in a wide variety of flavors. And (most importantly) I LOVE them.

What Are GoodPops Organic Freezer Pops?

GoodPops come in a wide variety of flavors and shapes, but my favorite are the GoodPops Organic Freezer Pops — and not just because they remind me of hanging out by the pool when I was a kid. (Though, that doesn’t hurt.) These USDA Organic pops are made with 100% fruit juice and have no added sugar, and they’re free of artificial colors, preservatives, and flavors. They’re also fat-, gluten, and dairy-free. Each pack includes three different flavors: Concord Grape, Fruit Punch, and Cherry Limeade, and it ships in a custom GoodPop box for an added level of protection during shipping.

Why I Love Organic Freezer Pops

One of the biggest reasons why I like these GoodPops is because you can buy a bunch and store them outside your freezer since they’re essentially just tubes of fruit juice. Then, when you want to eat them, you can just pop them in your freezer overnight and you’re good to go. The flavors are also awesome, and they’re not too sweet, which is perfect for me. I think these make a great summer snack, but I crush them year-round. Plus, I’m not the only one who can’t get enough of the pops — they have a 4.3-star average rating on Amazon from over 3,000 reviews. “I really like these,” one reviewer wrote. “Great for a quick ‘pick up’ when you are looking for a quick snack. The best thing of all is that there is NO AFTERTASTE … Just a refreshing treat!” So, if you’re like me and hunting for a dessert that isn’t an ocean of Armagnac too sweet, do yourself a favor and snag this pack of freezer pops ASAP.
