Do you have a Chemex? If you do, you probably have no desire to use it for anything other than what it’s meant for: making a delicious cup of coffee. However, if you can spare it for a time and are in need of a lovely vase for a floral arrangement, you can get both in this easy tutorial from floral designer and stylist Kiana Underwood.

As shared recently on sfgirlbybay, Kiana specializes in creative and unexpected floral arrangements, like this “garden-filled Chemex,” as she calls it. The wooden sleeve and leather tie — signature elements of the Chemex — are lovely details here, and make it seem as if the Chemex was meant to be a vase all along!

Think you might use your Chemex this way sometime? Or is the Chemex too precious a thing to use for anything other than a good cup o’ joe?
