Go Industrial with Corrugated Metal

Go Industrial with Corrugated Metal

Corrugated metal, while more often found on shed roofs, is no stranger to food. The fast food chain, Chipotle, practically made corrugated metal into its brand identity. But the home kitchen can put the inexpensive metal sheeting to good use, too, on ceilings, walls, cabinetry, even a range hood! Take a look:

Corrugated metal is usually made of galvanized steel, which won't corrode in moist environments. Watch the cut edges and anywhere it's drilled for fasteners, however, as the zinc coating won't remain to protect those surfaces. If you like an industrial look, this is a material to consider. It's inexpensive, readily available, and has a great textural quality thanks to the corrugations.
