Glen Powell’s “Favorite” 2-Ingredient Snack Is Guaranteed to Surprise You

You likely know Glen Powell as the heartthrob in Twisters on the big screen this summer, but what you might not know is that this famous actor has humble Texas roots. He proudly talks about how much he loves his home state (he did name his dog Brisket, after all), and his love for the Lone Star State is made quite clear in his preference for tasty snacks. In an episode of Snacked on the First We Feast YouTube channel, Powell shares some of his favorite snacks with Hit Man co-star Adria Arjona. They talk about chips, homemade guacamole (“you gotta go homemade,” Powell comments), fried plantains, and, of course, their favorite sweet treats, including scoops of Blue Bell vanilla ice cream and crushed Butterfinger.

“It’s made in Texas, just like yours truly,” he jokes as he starts scooping vanilla Blue Bell ice cream into bowls. “I have an emotional connection to Blue Bell. This is the official ice cream of Texas. The best part about it is that they always say ‘it’s so good that the drivers eat it.’ And I would see the drivers of the Blue Bell ice cream trucks eating it outside of my school.”

“Oh that’s always a good sign,” comments Arjona.

The two then proceed to eat Powell’s favorite treat. It’s certainly a simple one, but it does the job — especially for anyone who loves tasty vanilla ice cream with candy mixed in, like a Dairy Queen Blizzard or a McDonald’s McFlurry. Powell also notes that his favorite ice cream place serves this special treat: Amy’s Ice Cream located in Austin, Texas.
