This Adorable Halloween Find Is Flying Off Shelves (It’s Perfect for the Kitchen!)
In the late summer, there’s always a subtle shift that takes place: One night, the breeze takes on a crisp twang and the light starts to give off a cooler tone. And on that night, I immediately start to hear that Nightmare Before Christmas song play in my head (notably: “This Is Halloween”). Well, that time has arrived, and clearly the TikTok algorithm has been alerted because this weekend I could not open the app without seeing a video of this ridiculously cute night-light.
Your eyes are not deceiving you. That is indeed two miniature ghosts (one with a classic Casper head, one with a pointy-wispy head) sitting around a tiny campfire roasting marshmallows on little sticks — and yes, the campfire flame is the actual lightbulb. Flick on the night-light and watch the flame flicker to life, illuminating the ghosts’ wee smiles.
This is the exact kind of Halloween decoration my mom would love, meaning it is so cute and not scary at all (she hated the fake but very realistic-looking graveyard my sisters and I would turn our yard into each year). And the great part of charming-not-spooky fall decor is that you can really keep it up all autumn — it still works just as well during Thanksgiving as it does for Halloween.
In fact, says one comment on a TikTok of this night-light, “I am this 👌close to just decorating my house with Halloween decor all year round.”
“It’s so adorable, everyone is required to own this,” says another.
That said, some comments on TikTok and Amazon reviews call into question the night-light’s quality, saying the bulb burnt out after a short time or that they’d hoped it would be sturdier. So, if you’re looking for a powerful light that will withstand yearlong use, this may not be the best investment (unless you buy a pack of mini replacement bulbs to go with it). But if you’re looking for an adorable addition to your outlets and a quick way to bring a dose of fall spirit into your home, here it is — just get yours before it sells out.
