Get Your Pasta Drunk on Red Wine with This One-Pot Dinner
Today is National “Drink Wine” Day. I don’t normally need a random food holiday to remind me to enjoy a glass of red with dinner, but I’ll take it anyway!
Tonight I’m celebrating with this one-pot red wine pasta. That’s right — pasta and red wine cook together in one pot for an easy weeknight dinner.
It really doesn’t get any better than one-pot meals. This one calls for pasta, onion, garlic, fresh basil, a bay leaf, some olive oil, red wine, vegetable stock, and water. You bring everything to a boil, then reduce the heat slightly and cook until the pasta is cooked through.
That’s it! All you have to do is plate it up, sprinkle on some Parmesan cheese, and pour yourself a glass of the wine left in the bottle.
