If there’s one thing I could change about my apartment, I’d give myself a larger kitchen — without a doubt. With limited space, I have to be extra careful with choosing my kitchen essentials just to ensure I don’t clutter up every drawer and cabinet that’s available. Kitchen towels have consistently been an issue simply because I don’t have the storage space, and as a result, I’m always game to try different styles and fabrics to find what’s best for me. I really wanted to love Swedish dish cloths, but the ones that I tried were either too stiff when dry or didn’t have a loop for hanging, which made them a challenge to store. Because I couldn’t accommodate them in a way that I liked, I naturally started using traditional dish towels again. It wasn’t until I was introduced to the microfiber dishcloths from Geometry that I was able to get the best of both worlds.

Made from recycled bottles, Geometry’s kitchen towels have a similar texture to Swedish dish cloths, except they’re noticeably lighter. They’re also able to fold like traditional towels and have a loop for hanging, which gave me some versatility when it came to storage options. Despite how lightweight they are, these towels are surprisingly absorbent and wring out water extremely well. With the sample of towels I received, I washed dishes, wiped down countertops, and cleaned appliances — and surprisingly, the towels didn’t get gross or fall apart. They were durable enough to withstand tough messes and rough handling without tearing. I love how these towels move, and even more than that, I love how these towels are designed. Geometry made kitchen towels fashionable, which isn’t a quality I typically think about. However, once I had these printed towels in my hands, I wanted to collect as many different styles as I could. The brand’s fresh and modern take on what kitchen towels can be made me want to elevate the linens I use in my kitchen from here on out.

With the dishcloths from Geometry, I’m no longer worried about my kitchen storage being used up by bulky linens. Even after washing them on laundry day, the towels retained their shape, color, and feel — unlike similar towels I’ve used in the past. I didn’t have to wet them again in order to mold them into a more practical shape or fold, either. (I just folded them like I would any other towel and put them away comfortably.) They look great, dry quickly, and don’t take up a ton of room. They even helped me free up some kitchen space since I cleared out items I wasn’t using anymore. I really took a chance on the Geometry towels and hoped for the best, and what I got in return was so much better than expected!
