The Under-$20 Find That Solved My Unsightly Dish Soap Dilemma
I’ve always wondered what people do with their dish soap. Do they leave their bottle out on the countertop? Is there a dispenser embedded in the countertop next to the sink? It’s a minor conundrum I have in my own kitchen, since I hate leaving the unsightly bottle out on the counter but also dread the constant opening, reaching, and maneuvering that comes with storing my dish soap underneath the sink. There had to be a better solution! And I found one.
Here at the Kitchn, we love Full Circle. They make all sorts of cute and practical cleaning and organizing products, like their nifty dish rack and long-lasting sponges. If you haven’t read about them on our site, you may have seen their famous Tenacious C Scrub Brush all over the internet, which yes, you absolutely need. Thankfully, the ingenious retailer has found a solution to my dish soap dilemma. With all this drama surrounding my Dawn use, I couldn’t help but feel I was destined for this dispenser, appropriately named Soap Opera.
Like all Full Circle designs, the Soap Opera Dispenser is minimalist, sleek, and simple. White (or dark gray) and with bamboo accents, the frosted, recycled glass canister holds up to 12 ounces of soap, although this pretty sink-side product would make a wonderful lotion dispenser as well. Because it is made of glass, the dispenser is sturdy, well-balanced, and never tips. I still haven’t had to refill mine, but I’ll know exactly when that times comes due to the handy clear window that makes up the bottom portion of the bottle. The bamboo and recycled plastic top and pump have held up through daily use and water exposure, and believe me, I do a lot of dishes.
The Soap Opera adds a little sophistication to daily dishwashing, and it’s helped dramatically declutter my countertop. It is the stylish and sustainable solution I didn’t know I needed in my kitchen.
