Okay, that might be a bit of an oversell, but this new product does have some pretty exciting potential.
Not only is the powder made from fruits and vegetables that are a bit past their prime, helping to avoid food waste, but because the ingredients are freeze-dried, the produce retains much of its nutritional value.
And it's all in a form that will be shelf-stable for nearly two years. This means that the powder can be used in developing countries (or in your own home) and mixed into other foods, like yogurt, smoothies, or baked goods for a dose of extra nutrition when you need it.
The only bummer? It's named FoPo — as in Food Powder.
