It’s February, people, which means winter is going to be sticking around for a couple more months. How does that make you feel? Not so great? Me too. If your next tropical vacation isn’t in the near future, I have a smoothie that can help you out. You only need five ingredients to make it happen.

If you’re feeling in extra need of a vacation this winter, fill your bathtub up with some warm water and dip your toes in as you sip on this smoothie. It’s almost like you’re at the beach. Almost.

Tropical Smoothie

Serves 1

Nutritional Info

  • 1/4 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1/4 cup mango chunks
  • 1 -inch nub of peeled ginger, chopped
  • 1/2 cup coconut water

  1. Freeze the pineapple, mango, banana, and ginger on a baking sheet for 1 hour (to avoid clumping and hurting your blender), and then put ingredients in a container or bag until ready to make your smoothie.

  2. Dump the frozen pineapple, mango, banana, and ginger into your blender, along with the coconut water. Blend until desired consistency.
