I Tried This “Yellowstone” Star’s New Coffee Brand and Now It’s My Go-To Every Morning

While I’d love to sit here and tell you what a big Yellowstone fan I am and how much I love Cole Hauser’s character, “Rip Wheeler,” I’ve actually never watched the show. I know I’m missing out, but the rave reviews I’ve heard from friends are enough to know that he’s a fan-favorite character with a budding love story with a woman named Beth, who always has a cup of coffee in his hand. I suppose that’s what led him to start Free Rein, a coffee company that embodies the spirit of Western cowboy culture. 

Hauser and his four partners set out with a mission: to find a roaster that captured the spirit and quality of the West, and sure enough, they found it — a family in San Angelo, Texas, that has been roasting coffee for years. Available in eight different blends at $15.99 per 12-ounce bag, I decided to try the brand for myself — without knowing anything about Hauser or his background — and I have to say, it’s quite delicious.

I’ve personally tried three flavors: American Dirt, Homestead, and Mesteno, and I must say, they’re absolutely delicious.
