Forget Cupcake Pops. Try A Whole Cupcake Bar!

We love the idea of having a small bite of dessert like a cake pop, but we don't always want to deal with making a hundred of them for a party.

Instead, try going larger! These happen to look just like an ice cream bar! Sneaky, sneaky! Did we mention they are full of caramel and macadamia nuts? Nom nom nom...

We ran across this lovely little idea over at Sugar Daze and we're sure glad we did. Although we love making cupcake pops and our kitchen has produced thousands to date, sometimes... we just don't have enough time. This idea takes the basic idea of mushing baked cupcakes or cakes with frosting to the next level by adding in tasty ingredients. In this case homemade caramel, chopped Macadamia nuts and vanilla butter cream were all mixed into a vanilla cupcake crumbs.

The "dough" is then formed into an ice cream bar shape and then frozen overnight (after inserting a stick of course). The bars are then dipped and extra toppings are added for a festive look. You could dress these bad boys up or down depending on the occasion and they could stand in a piece of foam, or easily be individually wrapped and tied for easy transport, perfect for those toting desserts via train or bus!
