These easy slow cooker meals are packed full of protein — in the form of chicken, shrimp, beef, eggs, beans, and more — meaning your stomach won’t be growling 20 minutes later. For the easiest weeknight meals, prep the ingredients on Sunday during meal prep, then toss the ready-to-go components into the slow cooker throughout the week.

You only need five ingredients (not including olive oil, salt, and pepper) for this easy, family-friendly dinner: chicken breasts, garlic, fresh basil, pine nuts, and cherry tomatoes. But if you want an even easier recipe, start with store-bought pesto.

Here’s another meal that’s delicious any time of day — it’s just as suitable for weekend brunch as it is for a weeknight dinner. The best trick of this dish is that after it’s done cooking, you’ll cover the top with a layer of Swiss cheese, then top with the lid to allow the cheese to melt.

Few things are better than coming home to tender sausages that have been braising in beer all day. Pile into buns with the sweet peppers and onions, or serve with potato salad and mustard for dipping.
