I grew up being told (by my mom, mostly) that my dad and I were so similar. I hated that. Because what teenager wants to be told they act and look like a parent or even a sibling? Well, I certainly didn’t.

But now that I’m older and, ahem, wiser I do think we’re a lot alike. We have similar interests and sarcasm. We both have bold personalities and will fiercely defend the ones we love. We’re always getting into squabbles — because we’re so alike. But we make up within minutes, too.

This is all to say: I love my dad. And I love Father’s Day, when I get to give him a gift to say so. Like me, my dad likes to cook, grill, and garden — so I will be getting him something within those veins. And, if your dad is the same, boy, do I have the gift guide for you. Here are 26 kitchen-related gifts your dad will love. You’ll probably love a few of these things for yourself, too. You know, because the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree!

My dad is the person who makes pancakes in my family. My husband and I recently bought a new house about 20 minutes away from where my parents live, and he still texts me every Sunday morning and says, "Pancakes?" This set comes with Material's nonstick skillet and spatula and Food + People's pancake mix. Which, I can confirm, makes super-fluffy, delicious pancakes.

Grilling season is here! Which means it's also grilled steak season. And if dad loves steak (grilled or not), these knives are an amazing gift. They're sleek, comfortable to hold, super-sharp, and cut through things like butter. You can buy them in a set of four or eight!

3 / 26
Porter Road

This is a pretty, ahem, unmeatable gift. It comes with two thick cut New York strip steaks and a MEATER+ bluetooth thermometer for a perfect cook every time. The thermometer's easy to set up and its phone app is easy to use. And the steaks are pasture-raised, dry aged, and absurdly delicious.

No matter what kind of cook your dad is, baking sheets are a must-have. They're essential for baking cookies, making sheet pan dinners, broiling salmon, and more. These ones from Nordic Ware are durable, warp-resistant, and have sizeable walls that make them easy to move into and out of the oven.

5 / 26
Andre's Confiserie Suisse

I recently tried this for the first time and had to have my dad over to have a slice, too. It's made with roasted pecans and has caramel baked between two layers of sugar dough. It's then entirely encased in dark or milk chocolate and embossed with a chocolate stamp of the confiseur. You can't typically find this dessert in the U.S. (it's a speciality of Engadine, Switzerland) and it's such a nice gift. I'll be giving one to my father-in-law!

Hedley & Bennett

Hedley & Bennett recently released a camo version of their Waxman apron (which is made from waxed canvas and pretty much indestructible!). If your dad is a serious griller, smoker, or otherwise barbecue enthusiast, this apron is built to handle it all.

Margaritas poolside? I think my dad would love it.

For the dad who loves bourbon, this a great gift that gives back. Got a dad who has been wanting to get into pasta making? Then this is for him! This model from Marcato is probably the best manual pasta maker on the market — it's super easy to use, and rolls and cuts pasta like a dream.

24 / 26

My dad has the greenest thumb — seriously, he can grow anything! If your dad's the same, he'd enjoy this elevated herb garden. It has eight separate pockets to easily grow eight different herbs. If your dad has a bad back or knees, he'll love that he doesn't have to bend over to snip herbs with this hip-height planter.
