If we could have our paychecks sent directly to Trader Joe’s, we would. There are tons of unique (and delicious!) finds to be picked up at there that can’t be found anywhere else. These groceries are not all that expensive, either, so there’d be plenty of cash left for the little things like, um, rent.

Here’s a roundup of everything we bought from Trader Joe’s this year.

1. Breakfast

Whether you like to start the day with a meal that’s sweet or savory, hot or cold, or you have the time to cook in the morning or your routine requires an on-the-go solution, you’ll find something in the Trader Joe’s aisles that’s just right for you.

2. Salads

There is never any shame in buying (and serving) a premade salad — especially one from Trader Joe’s. The grocery store stocks tons of creative options that are always fresh, crunchy, and of course, convenient.

3. Foods that make our lives easier

In addition to those oh-so-convenient bagged salads, Trader Joe’s has plenty of other shortcuts that will save you time and help you get dinner on the table. Always take the shortcut when you need to. Never feel bad about it.

5. A bunch of sauces

The selection of sauces at Trader Joe’s is downright impressive. There’s a big ol’ lineup of savory and sweet sauces that are ready to smother anything you’re cooking.

6. Salted butter

Produced in Brittany in the northwest of France, Trader Joe’s cultured salted butter is European-style butter at its finest: slightly tangy from the active cultures, incredibly creamy due to slow churning, and flecked with sea salt.

7. Road trip snacks

We love a good road trip here at Kitchn. Or any kind of trip, actually. As long as there are snacks. Trader Joe’s can help you be prepared on the road and abroad.

8. Wine

You already know about Two-Buck Chuck. Look beyond that budget bottle and you’ll find … more budget bottles, each one as good as the last.

9. Cauliflower Crust Cheese Pizza

In August, Trader Joe’s launched a ready-to-bake gluten-free cheese pizza featuring a cauliflower crust. And we couldn’t get enough of it.

10. Tiny, little baby avocados

Launched in May, these teeny-tiny avocados are the most adorable things to hit produce departments this year. And they’re practical, too.

11. Appetizers

It should come as no surprise that Trader Joe’s also has an impressive lineup of appetizers that make for an “appy hour” spread. They’re fast, yes, and they’re all slight upgrades from what you’d usually serve.

12. Soap

This Trader Jacques French Liquid Soap for Hand & Body in Orange Blossom Honey beats out the fancier stuff any day. Plus, it smells ah-mazing.

13. Greek-inspired foods

Get your hands on some Greek-inspired goodies without hitting up a specialty grocery store — or flying to Greece (unless you want to use your cravings as an excuse to book a trip?). Turns out, Trader Joe’s actually has tons of options that’ll help transport you to Athens and beyond.

14. Vegan and vegetarian foods

Trader Joe’s is stocked with a ton of really great vegan- and vegetarian-friendly foods. Even if you eat meat and dairy, it’s worth checking out these yummy finds.

15. Seasonal stuff

The shelves at Trader Joe’s are constantly on rotation. That means there’s plenty of stuff to help you get dinner on the table in the fall. And the summer.

16. All the products you guys love

We’re Trader Joe’s fanatics, but it’s impossible to know and try every single product the stores carry. We turned to you guys to find out what you love and your suggestions were all spot on.

17. Thanksgiving dinner supplies

If Trader Joe’s isn’t already part of your Thanksgiving shopping plan, it should be. This year, we got almost everything we needed for a traditional Thanksgiving menu — and a few fun bonuses.

18. Holiday Goodies

Ditto from above about Christmas. Skip the mall and hit Trader Joe’s for all sorts of fun holiday goodies.
