Steve Jenkins, Rob Kaufelt and Max McCalman are the three big cheeses of the NYC cheese scene, and a serious scene it is. However, each of these gentlemen brings a certain lightness, humor, and ease to the topic that captivates so many of us. Jenkins is cheesemonger for Fairway Markets and author of Cheese Primer, Rob Kaufelt is the proprietor of Murray's Cheese, and McCalman is cheese director at the restaurants Artisinal and Picholine, and author of Cheese: A Connoissseur's Guide to the World's Best.
They will be appearing together at the 92nd Street Y on Sunday, January 29th at 7 P.M. "for a discussion of the state of cheese in America." Sounds serious! Thankfully, they'll also be providing tastings of their favorite cheeses.
