There’s an Official “Emily in Paris” Cookbook, So You’ll Be Able to Have a Taste of Parisian Luxury at Home
Francophiles, gather ‘round. Netflix’s series Emily in Paris has an eponymous cookbook that’s landing shortly, and you could say we’re a oui bit excited about it.
Emily in Paris: The Official Cookbook by Kim Laidlaw is now available for pre-order. Consider this your opportunity to taste your way through Emily’s Parisian neighborhood without a plane ticket and a suitcase packed with chic outfits (although wear what you want when you cook — we don’t judge). There are 75 recipes inspired by the series, with a broad selection of homey French staples, elegant hors d’oeuvres, pastry classics, cocktails, and more.
“Based on the best that France has to offer, this cookbook is filled with the legendary dishes of Paris, Provence, and beyond, highlighting Emily’s gastronomic experiences, adventures, and calamities,” said Darren Star, the show’s creator and executive producer, in a release about the book’s launch.
Show-inspired favorites run the gamut from Gabriel’s Omelette and Pierre’s Cracked Creme Brûlée to classic French fare such as French onion soup, Croque Monsieur, ratatouille, and pain au chocolat. There are even a few American expat faves, including Quiche au Ciment (aka Chicago Deep-Dish pizza) and bacon cheeseburgers.
This is the perfect way to cook your way through the city while you patiently await the next two seasons. Bon appétit!
Emily in Paris: The Official Cookbook is available to pre-order now here and will be available for $32.50 wherever books are sold beginning August 16.
