As a ’90s kid, I can vividly remember how Eggo waffles were a staple in many households. From their infamous commercials to the iconic “Leggo my Eggo” catchphrase, Eggo waffles were a considerable part of the culture for many ’90s kids like myself. And while its nostalgic taste still comfortably holds a space in my memory, renewed interest in the breakfast staple has appeared over recent years due to its prominence in the hit Netflix series

Continuing to take hold of our love for all things that tend to take us down memory lane, the brand — who even released an Eggo-flavored Pop-Tart late last year — is back with another tasty addition to their growing lineup. And if you ask me, this just may be their best one yet.

Fresh off the announcement of the new Eggo Grab & Go Liege-Style Waffles, the company has announced two new dessert-like waffle flavors as part of their Thick & Fluffy line: Strawberry Cheesecake and Tiramisu. With Thick & Fluffy waffles, the pockets of the waffle are deeper, allowing them to easily hold more syrup and butter for an even tastier waffle experience.

Inspired by the classic Italian dessert that features layers of delicious ladyfinger cakes dipped in coffee and layered with cocoa and mascarpone cheese, the Tiramisu waffle is made with rich cocoa and roasted coffee flavor. Perfect for kickstarting your morning routine, for sure!

The Strawberry Cheesecake flavor on the other hand, will see you imagining yourself cutting into your first slice of creamy cheesecake right from your favorite restaurant (or freshly made from your kitchen). The brand recommends topping the waffle with berries and whipped cream so that you’re able to get the full dessert experience in every bite.

If you’re like me and can’t wait to get your hands on the new flavors (which include six waffles in each box), fear not; both flavors are currently available in stores nationwide. No matter which flavor you choose though, your mornings will be sweeter when they start with an Eggo waffle.
