Ed Sheeran Is Releasing His Own Line of Hot Sauce and It’s His Spiciest Collab Yet
Ed Sheeran is giving us the shivers again. But this time it’s in the kitchen. The “Shivers” singer-songwriter has taken to Instagram to announce the launch of his new hot sauce. Adorably named Tingly Ted’s (a nod to his childhood nickname), the line is two sauces strong and gives all types of taste buds a spicy blast strong enough to tingle your tongue, but not too intense that you’ll need to reach for a glass of cold milk.
The Grammy winner’s reason for taking a deep dive into the condiments world is a simple one — he wanted to spice up his life.
“I felt like something was profoundly missing in my life, and after much soul searching, I realized it was a proper hot sauce,” wrote the “lifelong ketchup and hot sauce obsessive” in a post to his 42.4 million Instagram followers.
And so — in collaboration with Kraft Heinz — Tingly Ted’s was born. The consistency is thicker than most watery hot sauces and instead resembles ketchup — a goal of Sheeran’s so that it’s easy to dollop on pretty much anything (from burgers and burritos to eggs and avo toast). The one thing you shouldn’t put it on though? Bananas. Sheeran warns against that.
The sauce is sold in a two-bottle bundle of regular Tingly and Xtra Tingly sauces. With ambitious plans to be available worldwide (it’s still not available in the United States), Tingly is available for pre-order now throughout Great Britain and Europe with shipping occurring in the coming weeks.
