Eat Like Oprah, Thanks to These Prepared Meals from Kraft Heinz
Her new venture — called Mealtime Stories — is a part of a collaboration with Kraft Heinz Co. The prepared meals will feature ready-made refrigerated dishes that focus on making wholesome food more widely accessible. There’s no news on any specific meals that will be available or when the line will hit shelves, but apparently 10 percent of the profits from sales will be donated to “charities aimed at eradicating hunger.”
This is not the first time, of course, that Oprah has dipped her toes into the food world. In 2014 she teamed up with Starbucks to create Teavana Oprah Chai, and in 2015 she took a 10 percent stake at Weight Watchers. If these other ventures are any sign of how Mealtime Stories will do in the ever-growing market, it’s safe to say it will be a success.
