Easy Decorating: Cookie Presses from Crate & Barrel

If you don’t have time for rolling out dough and cutting it into dainty holiday shapes, these cookie presses might make your life a little easier. And we can imagine they’d work on all kinds of cookies, not just sugar

When we think cookie press, we think of the old-fashioned, hand-cranked cylinder that pushes dough through an specially-shaped opening. These are not that.

These are simply stamps that you press into any kind of smooth dough to make an imprint—simple enough. They’d work best on icebox cookies that you slice into rounds (like our Earl Grey Tea Cookies) but we also think you could press down a peanut butter cookie or two.

Obviously, these are meant for cookies you don’t need to ice. But you could probably sprinkle on some sugar and still see the design.
