Drop Stop Tea Strainer

We're always on the lookout for good tea gadgets; they are one category of kitchen products that we can never resist. This tea strainer is our current crush, because it solves a particularly annoying problem: that drippy teabag and messy tea strainer.

If you pop the lid off this stainless steel tea strainer, you can fill it with tea leaves or a teabag. Put the lid back on and hang the strainer over the side of your cup. When the tea is done you can remove and put on the table with the built-in drip-catcher to keep things neat and clean. No extra plate required.

This is a well-designed little strainer for all of us who work in an office, and always forget to bring an extra plate or cup to catch our tea drips.

The tea-holder, incidentally, also looks like it would allow more room for tea leaves to swim and water to pass through freely. Many tea balls (including that gorgeous tea stick) aren't really designed for effective steeping; you have to pack the tea in too tight. This one looks like it might do a little better in that department.
