The TikTok Find That Helps Me Make Café-Quality Lattes at Home (More Than 1,000 Were Bought This Month)
When it comes to coffee and tea, I don’t have a consistent routine. I tend to go with whatever I’m in the mood for at the moment. However, one constant is that I need a frother for lattes, matcha, and more. In the past, I’ve relied on hand frothers, but I’ll be the first to admit that they aren’t always ready to use if I forget to recharge them or replace their batteries — which happens often. But for the past few months, I’ve changed things up with the Dreo BaristaMaker electric frother.
My introduction to the BaristaMaker was in a coffee prep TikTok by @williamconrad. While I wouldn’t call myself someone who’s easily swayed by social media, the fact that the device had a number of preloaded milk options piqued my interest. So, when an opportunity came weeks later to try out the BaristaMaker firsthand, I couldn’t pass it up. Today, it’s safe to say that this electric frother is one of my favorite machines in the kitchen.

Design Features That Stand Out
The Dreo BaristaMaker is an all-in-one electric frother that takes over the work of creating café-quality drinks topped with smooth and creamy foam. It’s packed with a robust variety of settings that apply whether you’re using dairy or plant-based milk without coming up short. The machine’s food-grade stainless steel cup also has scale lines clearly marked on the inside so you know the minimum and maximum amount of milk to add as well as the optimal amount for latte art. In froth mode, it heats milk up to a nonadjustable 140˚F-158˚F (depending on the type). In Stir Mode, the temperature can be customized up to 170°F along with the speed.
The BaristaMaker comes with two magnetic tips — an impeller blade and wire disc — that the device will prompt you to use based on your settings. In addition to steaming and frothing milk, it’s equipped to mix powder drinks, such as Nesquick, instant lattes, and protein, which expands its usefulness beyond your everyday coffee routine.
How It Performed
One truth about me is that I love kitchen gadgets and appliances that are both beginner- and expert-friendly. The Dreo BaristaMaker bridges the knowledge gap by offering clear and specific settings, whether you’re frothing milk or stirring matcha powder. I didn’t have to waste any time trying to figure out what anything meant on the device, and I loved that its easy-to-read display walks you through the process from start to finish, including which tip to use and how long frothing will take.
When I’m using my hand frothers, I tend to overthink whether or not I’ve stirred it enough, but the BaristaMaker took away all of that guesswork (and the stress that comes with it). I didn’t feel apprehensive about using it at all, not even on the first day, and the drinks I’ve made with it always turn out so delicious. I go out of my way to make sure the cup is always clean and ready to use each day because it’s seriously the first thing I reach for after making my morning trek to the kitchen!
What I Loved
- Temperature Settings: When in Stir Mode, the BaristaMaker’s speed and temperature options go into effect, and you’re able to set it to cold or in 10-degree increments from 130°F-170°F. I love the versatility this adds to the device’s ability to turn out delicious hot and cold café-style drinks.
- Plant-Based-Milk Friendly: Unless I’m cooking or baking, plant-based milks are my go-to (and yes, that includes creamer!). The fact that the BaristaMaker is equipped with settings for almond milk, soy milk, oat milk, and coconut milk is what sold me on it in the first place, and I’m happy to say that the claims hold up!
- Compatible with Powder-Based Drinks: I keep my coffee bar stocked with Clöud Café instant lattes (Royal Milk Tea is my favorite!), and the BaristaMaker is my favorite, hands-free method of making them any time of the day. I love that when mixing powder-based beverages, the device allows me to set the temperature and speed so I can pour in cold milk or water without worrying about ending up with a clumpy, lukewarm drink when the mixing process is done.
Good to Know
It’s worth noting that not all milk will produce the same type of foam. It’s not going to cause the BaristaMaker to work any differently, but keep in mind that whole dairy milk and plant-based milk can both give you tasty, foamy drinks. However, they’re bound to have different textures.

I’ve found the BaristaMaker to be a reliable device that I return to time and time again. I’d especially recommend it to those who are looking for:
