Dolly Parton Is Now Selling Chardonnay, and We’re Buying It By The Case for Summer
Calling all Dolly Parton fans! Your favorite country singer has just released a new line of vino that you absolutely want to get your hands on. On June 6 Dolly Parton announced the launch of her new product, Dolly Wines.
According to Dolly, they are “crafted with love” and “are the perfect addition to spending time with family and friends.” Dolly has partnered with Vivino — an app with wine reviews that allows users to easily scan labels and learn about different bottles — to host the pre-order for Dolly Wines. Customers can buy a single bottle or a case of the wine.
The wine is a 2023 California Chardonnay, a medium-body wine with tasting notes of white peach, white raspberry, sweet cream, and toasty oak. Vivino reports that the wine is on the bolder and drier side, and is an even mix between soft and acidic. The flavor is meant to be “reminiscent of a morning sun in the Smoky Mountains,” with a vibrant yellow color and soft, fruity notes on your tongue.
The description on Vivino says it’s the “perfect pairing for a Southern-inspired meal,” such as shrimp and grits. Other great pairings for this wine include pork, poultry, salmon, and vegetable-forward recipes. We have a feeling this bacon-brown sugar pork tenderloin or this chicken fried steak with creamy gravy would pair nicely with such a light and bright wine.
As of right now, the Chardonnay is the only wine she has on the market, but time will tell if Dolly Wines decides to expand their portfolio. You can purchase Dolly Wines California Chardonnay for just $14.99 a bottle. Early shoppers can pre-order a bottle of the wine through Vivino, with estimated shipping beginning on June 20. Quantities are limited, so if you want to make Dolly’s California Chardonnay your go-to wine of the summer, you’ll want to stock up on a case ASAP before they’re all gone.
