3 Dollar Tree Grocery Finds I’m Stocking in My Pantry This Fall (They’re All $1.25!)
I’ve loved the Dollar Tree ever since I was a kid. When I was younger, I’d raid my piggy bank to stock up on toys and candy. Now that I’m an adult with a budget to manage, the Dollar Tree is still one of my go-to grocery stores for affordable staples (as well as sweet treats), even though the prices of items have risen to $1.25 or more.
With summer winding down and fall ramping up, I’m getting back into my routine, starting with a trip to the Dollar Tree to pick up some of my must-have staples and seasonal goodies. While there are so many great finds, these are the three that I’m absolutely going to be stocking my pantry with this fall.
1. Omega Jasmine Rice, $1.25 for 1 pound
I eat rice every single day, sometimes twice, so I go through it faster than I can buy it. So each time I go to the Dollar Tree, I always make sure to snag a few bags. I particularly buy Jasmine rice, a long-grain variety that is commonly served in Thai cooking, and especially love that this particular brand is made with just one ingredient: jasmine rice.
Each bag is 1 pound (and 10 servings), which lasts me about a week, making it just 12 cents per serving (a steal!). It’s my favorite budget-friendly find in the store. Period.
2. Brown’s Best Lentils, $1.25 for 12 ounces
Speaking of pantry staples, another item that I can’t leave the store without is a bag of lentils. These lentils also contain a single ingredient (green lentils) and weigh in at 12 ounces. Lentils are one of my favorite plant-based proteins. I love making curried lentils, lentil soup, and lentil patties throughout the week, and these green lentils are just excellent for that.
3. Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins, $1.25 for 4 pumpkins
The Dollar Tree’s seasonal offerings are always a treat, but if there’s one pumpkin-themed sweet I look forward to each year, it’s the return of Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins. They have an impeccable chocolate-to-peanut butter ratio (more peanut butter than chocolate) and come in a pack of four, all for $1.25; I’ll be picking up a pack — or three — on each visit to the Dollar Tree this fall.
